We Chose Quartz Countertops

Here at NUSTONE QUARTZ we can give you many very good reasons to choose quartz countertops, but we thought you would appreciate hearing the reasons from other homeowners. These comments came from Garden Web, an uberinformative online forum where you get the scoop straight from homeowners. In January Garden Web was bought by savvy online design giant, houzz.

What homeowners are saying:

“The reason we chose quartz coiuntertops over granite was because we didn’t want to worry about resealing it and didn’t want to worry about it staining easily. The biggest factor, though, was that we wanted a more even distribution of pattern for our kitchen.” “We went with quartz because I really like more of a uniform look in my counters. Our store recommend going with quartz because I am kind of a clean freak and am constantly wiping down the counters and cabinets. I also wanted it very durable because I really use my kitchen a lot. They said it was antimicrobial, didn’t need a sealer and was easy to maintain.” “We have had quartz kitchen counters since fall 2013. They have been a breeze in maintenance since install. I wash them off as needed with mild dish soap and water. Everything just wipes up perfectly. I have rolled out dough for bread on them and they performed great. I use trivets and never put anything very hot on them… a habit I have had for years of living with Formica.” “I am in love with the look of Carrera marble countertops, but I cannot convince my husband to give them a chance. So I set out on a search for a substitute, and we decided quartz is the best option for our needs.”

Engineered Quartz is Tough

Thanks to the quartz content, engineered quartz is tough and the resin makes the material malleable and impact resistant. Engineered quartz is also nonporous, making it resistant to stains and scratches. There are a couple of quartz products I hear about regularly that mimic marble very nicely. Homeowners pay a premium for Caesarstone’s Misty Carrera and Frosty Carrina. NUSTONE QUARTZ colors, Shadow and Smoke coming in at a much better price point, happily make overspending to achieve the look of marble completely unnecessary. What do you think?
